This course is designed to help your student to develop a conceptual understanding of place value, rounding, comparing numbers, and working on word problems in these areas. Each week we will focus on a different topic as well as review concepts covered the week prior. A work sample opportunity will be provided. Recommended for grades 2-3, but all students are welcome.

Get ready to learn about movement and force. In this class, students will explore the patterns of movement and the force and usefulness of magnets by doing projects and experiments to see “what happens”. Get ready for some fun and productive messiness as we explore repelling and attraction.

Who were the heroes that took risks to help build a free country? And who were those heroes who have continued to take risks to keep those freedoms, and make sure they extend to all Americans? We will learn about what makes a hero, who some of the more well-known American heroes are, and how we can be one as well

Students will practice addition and subtraction with larger numbers. Patterns and repeated addition will be introduced to lead into multiplication. Students will practice using a multiplication table to look at some of the patterns. Each week we will focus on a different topic as well as review concepts covered the week prior.
