Overview

Personal Narrative Workshop. Calling all 3rd-grade writers, this course is for you!  Become an expert at writing great paragraphs and learn how to write a personal narrative. Students will engage in the writing process and further develop 3rd-grade writing skills including well-chosen details and well-structured event sequences.

Thursdays at 9 AM

Course Syllabus & Materials 

Once your student is registered, you will be emailed a registration confirmation that includes the Course Syllabus & Materials document.  It will include the Zoom link, state standards, expectations, and the materials that your student should have ready for class for each week.  After the class concludes, the slide presentations will be added to this document. 

Writer's Workshop - 3rd - The Opinion Writer's Toolkit: Opinion (S2)

Overview

Writer’s Workshop (opinion writing)- Kids have favorites and they’ll get to write about them in this fun engaging class. Topics include all the steps in the writing process including choosing a topic, making a plan, writing a draft, revising, and editing. Each week builds upon the last week’s skills so it is ideal to attend all classes.  Recommended for grade 3, but all students are welcome.
