Science - Upper - The Power of Plants (S6)

Overview
Discover what makes a plant a plant and what it needs to survive along with the necessity of pollinators. Take a close look at a flower as we dissect and discuss its parts. Finally, we will explore the garden and plant our own seeds to observe as they grow.
A work sample opportunity will be provided. Recommended for grades 4 - 5, but all students are welcome.

Enrichment - Lower - Out of this World: A Space Art Adventure!(S6)

Overview
This class will connect what we know and real-world experiences by allowing students to explore the vastness of space and its wonders. They will learn about space including the sun, moon, stars, and planets, and Earth’s unique role in the universe. Understanding these celestial bodies with an art focus will help students appreciate and learn about our planet and beyond. A work sample opportunity will be provided. Recommended for grades TK-1, but all students are welcome.

Celebrate the beauty of spring while exploring your artistic side! In this fun and creative class, kids will create vibrant artwork and crafts inspired by flowers, bees, trees, and other springtime wonders. Along the way, they'll learn about artists, and essential art elements like color, shape, and line to bring their spring creations to life! A work sample opportunity will be provided. Recommended for grades 3-5, but all students are welcome.

Enrichment -Upper - Student Maker's Workshop(S6)

Overview
By the end of the course, students will have learned the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including creating, pricing, marketing, and selling their own homemade products. The class will culminate in a fun, virtual "student market" where students can share their businesses and "sell" their products in a supportive environment. Each week, student will also learn a skill they can market to give them ideas for the Student Market. A work sample opportunity will be provided. Recommended for grades 4-5, but all students are welcome.
