MS/HS - Social Studies- Think Like a Historian (S1)

Overview
Let’s learn how to think like historians! Students will learn about the main skills historians use as they work to interpret the past. We will explore skills like contextualization, sourcing, corroboration, and how to use evidence to support their interpretation of the past! A work sample opportunity will be provided. Recommended for grades 6-12, but all students are welcome.

Students will learn all about numbers. They will spend time naming numbers, counting numbers and objects in a group, comparing numbers, and basic word problems. Overview
"Democracy in Action" is a 5-week course that explores the principles of democracy and the electoral process. Through interactive lessons, students will learn about government structure, the importance of voting, and how they can actively participate in democracy.

Students will practice addition and subtraction with larger numbers. Patterns and repeated addition will be introduced to lead into multiplication.
