Early Exploration of America: Come learn about early explorers who sailed the seas to discover new lands.  Learn about how they navigated with maps and tools, why they were looking for new lands, and the challenges they faced while exploring. Learn about who they discovered was already living in these “new lands,” and the good and bad relationships that developed between these groups of people. A work sample opportunity will be provided. Recommended for grades 4-5th, but all students are welcome.

MS/HS - Social Studies- Think Like a Historian (S1)

Let’s learn how to think like historians! Students will learn about the main skills historians use as they work to interpret the past. We will explore skills like contextualization, sourcing, corroboration, and how to use evidence to support their interpretation of the past! A work sample opportunity will be provided.
