Overview

 Exploring Informational Text- Help your student build better reading skills with this fun, interactive course all about analyzing the structure of informational/nonfiction texts. This is all about Reading to learn and strengthening comprehension skills. A work sample opportunity will be provided. This class is intended for grades 4 and 5, but all students are welcome.

Writer's Club - 5th - The Narrative Journey: Personal Narrative (S1)

Writer’s Club: Personal Narrative -Let’s get writing, 5th graders! Learn how to use descriptive writing to paint a vivid picture in your reader’s mind. Join us to practice writing a personal narrative using good technique, detailed descriptions and clear sequencing in such a way that will capture the attention of your readers. Note: each week builds upon the last week’s skills so it is ideal to attend all classes. A work sample opportunity will be provided. Recommended for grades 5  but all students are welcome.
