Social Studies - Upper - From Sea to Shining Sea (S1)

Overview
Early Exploration of America: Come learn about early explorers who sailed the seas to discover new lands. Learn about how they navigated with maps and tools, why they were looking for new lands, and the challenges they faced while exploring. Learn about who they discovered was already living in these “new lands,” and the good and bad relationships that developed between these groups of people. A work sample opportunity will be provided. Recommended for grades 4-5th, but all students are welcome.

Students will learn all about numbers. They will spend time naming numbers, counting numbers and objects in a group, comparing numbers, and basic word problems. Literature for Early Readers-Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Come One, Come All to this enchanting course where we will have fun playing with Fairy Tales.
