Overview

Okay, not the ride at Disneyland California Adventure but still just as fun as we learn about early California History/Exploration. Come join us as we spend the month soaring over the early history of our amazing state. We’ll learn about Native Americans, explorers, missions, physical geography and more! A work sample opportunity will be provided. Recommended for grades 4-5th, but all students are welcome.

MS/HS - Social Studies - Democracy in Action (S2)

"Democracy in Action" is a 5-week course that explores the principles of democracy and the electoral process. Through interactive lessons, students will learn about government structure, the importance of voting, and how they can actively participate in democracy.

Students will practice using a multiplication table to look at some of the patterns. From The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Mixed up Chameleon, The Grouchy Ladybug, and many others, Eric Carle has a unique style of story writing and art and his illustrations inspire readers to make more of their own! Let’s have some fun making colorful art like Eric Carle and writing our own story to go with it! Recommended for grades TK, 1 and 2, but all students are welcome.
